Account and Login

How do I create an account?
Download StockYan from the App Store, tap Sign Up, and register using your email, Google, or Apple account.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the login screen, tap Forgot Password and enter your registered email. You will receive a password reset link.

How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and associated data.

Portfolio Management

How do I add stocks to my portfolio?
Go to Portfolio, tap the add button, search for the stock, and enter your buy details.

Can I create multiple portfolios?
Yes. StockYan supports multiple portfolios.

How is WACC calculated?
Weighted Average Cost of Capital is calculated automatically from all buy transactions for each stock, including broker commissions.

Watchlist and Alerts

How do I set a price alert?
Add a stock to your watchlist, open the stock, set an alert, and enter your target price.

Why am I not receiving alerts?
Ensure notifications are enabled in your device settings and inside the app.

Subscription

What is included in the premium subscription?
Premium includes weekly market summaries, trade ideas, breakout alerts, and curated picks from market experts.

How do I manage my subscription?
Go to Settings > Subscription to view or manage your plan.

How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store under Apple ID > Subscriptions.

Data and Privacy

Is my portfolio data secure?
Yes. Data is encrypted and stored securely using Firebase Cloud Services.

Can I export my data?
Not yet. This feature is still being built.

Technical Issues

The app is crashing. What should I do?

  1. Force close and restart the app.
  2. Confirm you are on the latest version.
  3. Restart your device.
  4. If the issue continues, contact support with your device model and iOS version.

Market data is not updating.
Check your internet connection first. If the issue continues, log out and back in.
