Uniqturn
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information the Uniqturn app collects, why we collect it, how we handle it, and the choices you have.
Uniq Turn ("we", "us", "our") operates the Uniqturn mobile and web application (the "App"). We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Who this policy covers
The App is a client portal. Accounts are issued to people who have engaged Uniq Turn to assist with an Australian visa or migration matter. The App is not a general-purpose consumer product and does not offer public self-service signup for immigration advice.
2. What we collect
Information you give us directly
- Account details — your name, email address, and (optionally) your phone number, provided when your account is created or when you edit your profile.
- Application information — the answers you enter into a visa application form in the App. Depending on the visa, this can include your full legal name, date of birth, country of citizenship, passport number and expiry date, current country of residence, marital status, English test results, occupation and employment history.
- Documents — files you upload to support your application, such as passports, birth certificates, police clearance certificates, qualifications, employment references, financial statements and relationship evidence.
- Messages — the content of messages you send to your migration agent through the App.
Some of this is sensitive information under the Privacy Act. We collect it only because it is reasonably necessary to prepare, lodge and manage your visa application, and by submitting it through the App you consent to us collecting and handling it for that purpose.
Information collected automatically
- Authentication data — a unique account identifier, and technical records of sign-in events, handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
- Technical data — standard information needed to deliver the service, such as device type and app version.
The App does not collect your location, contacts, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or any payment or financial account details. The App contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
3. Why we collect it
We use your personal information to:
- create and administer your account;
- prepare, review, lodge and manage your visa or migration matter;
- verify the documents your application requires;
- communicate with you about your matter, including status updates and requests for further documents;
- meet our professional, record-keeping and legal obligations as a registered migration agent, including under the Migration Act 1958 (Cth) and the Code of Conduct for registered migration agents.
We do not use your information for marketing or advertising, and we do not sell it.
5. Overseas disclosure
Our backend runs on Google Cloud infrastructure. Depending on the service, data may be stored or processed on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. By using the App you consent to this disclosure. We take reasonable steps to ensure our providers handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
6. Security
Data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Access to your case data is restricted by server-side security rules so that your documents and messages are visible only to you and to the Uniq Turn staff handling your matter. Data is encrypted at rest by our cloud provider.
No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Please keep your password confidential and do not share your account.
7. How long we keep it
We retain your personal information for as long as we act for you, and afterwards for the period required to meet our professional and legal record-keeping obligations as a registered migration agent. After that period we destroy or de-identify it.
8. Accessing, correcting and deleting your information
You can view and update your name and phone number at any time in the App under Profile → Edit profile.
To access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information — including your account and uploaded documents — contact us at visas@uniqturn.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days.
Please note that we may be required to retain certain records even after you ask us to delete your account, in order to meet the legal and professional obligations described in section 7. Where that applies, we will tell you what we must keep and why.
9. Children
The App is not directed at children and we do not knowingly create accounts for people under 16 without the involvement of a parent or guardian. Where an application concerns a minor (for example a child visa), that information is provided and managed by the responsible adult applicant.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at visas@uniqturn.com.au and we will investigate and respond.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Complaints about the conduct of a registered migration agent may also be made to the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA).
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this address, and the effective date above reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated to you through the App or by email.
Request deletion of your account
To request deletion of your Uniqturn account and the personal information associated with it, email visas@uniqturn.com.au from the email address on your account, with the subject line "Account deletion request". We will confirm your identity and respond within 30 days.
What is deleted: your account and sign-in credentials, your profile details, the documents you uploaded, and your messages.
What we may need to keep: as a registered migration agent (MARN 1466755) we are required to retain client matter records to meet our obligations under Australian migration law and the Code of Conduct. Where this applies we will tell you what is retained and why.
Uniqturn is a client portal for Uniq Turn Migration. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Australian Government or the Department of Home Affairs.
